Diet for patients with chronic renal failure who undergo dialysis with machine


1. Consume foods that give adequate energy at every meal, every day. When hungry foods made from starch and snacks can be consumed.

2. Consume meat in quantity set by doctor strictly. Suitable meats are meats free from fat and cholesterol (or low) such as fish, chicken fillet and egg albumen.

7. Use soybean oil (if possible mix it with bran oil in ration 1 to 1) for cooking.

8. Avoid foods made from coconut such as coconut cream, avoid fats from animals such as butter and lard.

9. Limit intake of water and drinks to recommendation by doctor/nurse, In this case foods to avoid are curry, soup and noodles.

10. Consume supplement vitamins as prescribed by doctor only. Excessive vitamins may lead to accumulation and toxin in the body, especially vitamin A. Thus, vitamins should not be purchased and consumed without doctor’s order.
